Eric Alberto-Lopez, better known as Ape Drums, is a Mexican-American DJ, producer, and official member of Major Lazer. Born and raised in Houston, he built his career from a lifelong passion for music, turning an obsession with rhythm into a global movement. Known for his explosive performances and genre-bending sound, Ape Drums blends Afro-house, Afro-tech, dancehall, reggaeton, and electronic music into sets that ignite dance floors around the world. After earning international recognition through his solo tours, he officially joined Major Lazer in 2019 and continues to push the boundaries of global dance music.
